Technical Quality Audit of UELDP Projects
Improve the business environment and economic competitiveness, as well as close the persisting gaps in access to and quality of infrastructure and services. The primary beneficiaries of this program are the governorates of Qena and Suhag in upper Egypt.
The program is financed by the world bank through a program for results (P for R) totaling USD 500 m and is to be completed by December 31, 2021. The p for r was selected as the most appropriate financing instrument for a program of this nature which adopts a combined approach comprised of institutional transformation and infrastructure investment to deliver its objectives
Carry out TQA cycles in the program governorates for the undermentioned two categories of investment projects in order to verify if:
Category 1: investments for civil works, road works, electromechanical and sanitation works’ and/or any other type of public civil works (construction and/or rehabilitation) which were carried out by governorates using program funding, for the respective TQA cycle, have been designed, constructed and supervised/managed in compliance with applicable technical standards/ specifications and cost and time parameters included in the respective construction and supervision contracts
Category 2: investments related to public service provision which were carried out by governorates under the program’s funding, for the respective TQA cycle, have been specified and delivered in compliance with applicable technical standards/ specifications and cost and time parameters included in the respective supply contracts and are being used and maintained as per applicable industry standards
